Kyoto - Part IV Lunch in a Train Station?

Our fourth site in Kyoto, the train station for lunch on the 11th floor of the 15 story 'new' building.  When they unveiled this new station in 1985 there was much crying in the historic city.  During construction the work was hidden behind the kind of walls we've seen cover other projects.  When the walls came down the citizens of the most historic city were shocked.  "Our city is ruined!"

The futuristic building, designed by Japanese architect, Hiroshi Hara, has won many architecture awards and brought many modern things like a movie theater, performance venue, restaurants, efficient train ticketing and schedule, department store, tourist services, state of the art bathrooms, green roof, etc. All designed to survive a 9 point earthquake to boot.
